Derrell James is Executive Vice President and Group President of ACS ITO Solutions. He is responsible for the ongoing ITO organization and the continuing growth of a service offering that comprises nearly 25 percent of ACS’s business, contributing $1.4 billion in revenue annually.
Previously, James served as Senior Managing Director of ACS’ Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) Solutions in the Commercial Solutions Group.
He has more than 20 years of experience in management of:
- Technical services
- Network services
- Infrastructure services
He joined ACS in 2006 from EMC, where he served as Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions. In this role, he led an organization of 4,500 people and was responsible for all pre- and post-sales solutions and execution.
Prior to EMC, James was at Perot Systems, where he served as Vice President of the company’s Global Infrastructure Services Division. In this capacity, he led a 3,500-employee organization. His responsibilities included network/technical systems management and support and disaster recovery services.
At Perot, James also was responsible for Infrastructure Business Development, including channels and partners associated with infrastructure services and account relationships. He began his career at EDS, where he served eight years as a systems engineer.
